Wendy Poeta-Tisi Joins Healthy Valley

Takes over as Project Coordinator

Wendy Poeta-Tisi is the new Coordinator for the Healthy Valley Project. No stranger to the Valley, this Shelton resident has just finished an assignment as the Healthy Start Program Coordinator at the Lower Naugatuck Valley Healthy District. She has a wealth of experience in health & human services having worked in a variety of roles down through the years.

Healthy Valley Chairs Nancy Valentine and Karen Spargo praised the selection of Poeta-Tisi who topped a field of more than thirty candidates. They noted her knowledge of the community, strong organizational skills and ability to relate to the diverse Valley population as strengths that she brings to her position. They said, "We are excited to have Wendy on board, and look forward to having the stakeholders meet and work with her."

In her role as Healthy Valley Coordinator, Wendy oversees all activities of the project which currently has more than 30 separate initiatives.

Wendy replaces Meher Shulman who served as Coordinator during the first five years of the project before accepting a new assignment with the Hartford Foundation.
